This holiday season, our team at La Mega 97.9FM teamed up with auto giant Ford Motor Company to deliver joy to children in our local communities. Over 350 new and slightly used toys were donated in an effort to help our initiative of bringing love and cheers into the lives of many unfortunate children this Christmas.
Just like Santa’s very own sleigh, Ford delivered these gifts in their all-new 2012 Ford Explorer. Proceeds of this toy drive were given to the children of the Washington Heights community and to the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families – an organization that is dedicated to combining education and advocacy to expand opportunities for children and families, and strengthen the voice of the Latino community. While the Explorer was full of toys, their total value has no comparison to the amount of smiles facilitated by this effort; making this collaboration with Ford put emphasis on on the true meaning of giving.
