CLEMSON UNIVERSITY STUDENT INJURED IN CAMPUS TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

A Clemson University student from Lexington was injured in a traffic accident on campus at lunchtime today and airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital. Freshman Kellie Jureka, 18, was treated by Clemson University EMS personnel and transported to Bowman Field, where she was taken by helicopter to the hospital at approximately 12:45 p.m. greenvillememorialhospital.net greenville memorial hospital
Clemson University Police Chief Johnson Link said calls about an accident on Fort Hill Street involving a student and a Clemson Area Transit (CAT) bus came in to the university police department at 12:26 p.m. University police, fire and EMS personnel responded immediately.
S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
Greenville Memorial Hospital officials said Jureka was in serious, but stable condition late this afternoon.
