J.Lo & Casper Smart Don't Care About 18-Year Gap In Age

Jennifer Lopez’s love don’t cost a thing — and her age doesn’t mean a thing, her 24-year-old boy toy Casper Smart implied in a tweet Wednesday.

“Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant,” tweeted Smart, who’s 18-years younger than the 42-year-old American Idol judge. “Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite. Ages are mere reminders of the hours logged on this earth and the precious time remaining.”

He continued by tweeting, “We should all honor our time here by indulging our passion and dreams. So, close your ears and open your hearts; Love and be happy!”– a sentiment re-tweeted by Lopez.

The union said it prevailed in the election 15-10. Despite aggressive employer resistance the workers held the line and have requested dates for discussions with Macys to negotiate a contract to cover wages, benefits and working conditions.

Several months ago workers at the Pleasanton facility came to Local 5 with complaints about their jobs and seeking assistance in addressing them. Local 5’s organizing department assembled an in store committee and immediately began twice weekly storewide meetings held offsite and worker to worker meetings. The in store committee was the key factor in winning the election. According to Local 5 Organizing Director Jim Grogan, “This election could not have been won without the outstanding efforts put forth by everyone on the shop floor. Each and every one of these workers stuck their necks out. Now we will meet with the company to make sure that their contributions are validated. go to website macys printable coupons

UFCW Local 5 President Ron Lind said, “Macys employees in Pleasanton follow in a long distinguished line of UFCW represented members in the department store sector. The last general strike that took place in the country was in Oakland in 1946 and was started by Kahns department store workers. They were fighting for fairness, our new Macys members follow in their footsteps.” ((Comments on this story may be sent to newsdesk@closeupmedia.com))
