Bocachula
"El Vacilón
de la Mañana"
Lunes a Viernes
5:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
BIO:
Noel Hernández “Bocachula”
With
evident shyness and without being able to sit still for a
minute, Noel Hernández started this interview confirming
that his popularity in “El Vacilón de la Mañana”
is due in part to his ample mouth and his meaty lips. Thanks
to those physical traits, he was christened with his nickname:
“Bocachula”.
In
1995 Noel accidentally started his career in radio. He visited
the studios of “La Mega” after working long hours
as a DJ at a night club in the city.
It
took Bocachula two years to learn all the technical aspects
of the board and the way to do live broadcasts. He did so
for his love of the art. Noel remembers, looking at the ceiling,
that when he received his first payment, a check for 149 dollars,
it was the biggest accomplishment of his life.
In
1999 he asked for an opportunity to be part of “El Vacilon
de la Mañana”. He has been working for the show
ever since.
