Geordano's love for music began at a young age, when he remembers listening to old LPs of Pablo Milanes, Leo Dan and many other romantic classics from his mother's music collection. By the age of 18 his influences expanded to the top hit artists of the early and mid 90s from grunge to hip hop and, of course, Latin artists such as Ricardo Arjona, Mana and Juan Luis Guerra, to name a few. It was only after visiting a local church and witnessing the explosive performances of worship that he decided that music was the tool he..d been waiting for to fill a void in his life. Though initially he wanted to play the drums, his first opportunity came as a bass player for the local church in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He and a friend then decided to form a Contemporary Christian band they called ..Vidalast... This experience, though short lived, brought him from playing bass at the local church to traveling across the United States to California and across the borders to Mexico. It was these travels that inspired him to begin writing what has since then become the lyrics to many of his songs. Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Geordano..s childhood was a simple but happy one. This was cut short when at the age of 9 his father, like so many others, fled to the United States in search of a better life for his family. The story of this stage in his life is vividly illustrated by -Superman-, a personal song in which he describes himself as a "loco so..ador" or "crazy dreamer". Originally inspired by his religious and personal convictions, Geordano's writings became an outlet through which he expelled his frustrations but, soon things began to change for him. He began writing about love, hope, broken dreams and social issues. These new songs began to fill his mind pouring onto his notebooks and computer. He knew that playing in the local church was not the medium that would allow him to convey these newly discovered expressions. After attending many concerts, his passion for Rock grew stronger, so he set out to form a Spanish Rock band. In the summer of 2003, he met a group of friends that had been jamming together in a band they called "Red Eterna" and were in search of a bass player to complete their rock quartet. Seeing an opportunity to introduce a new concept and some of his own songs, Geordano joined them to form the band that became known as "Dedos". With a small cult following, "Dedos" performed in clubs and bars in and around Boston, got airplay on 2 local Spanish radio stations and received a Golden Circle Award for best new artists in 2005, Lawrence, MA. Despite these achievements, the band was divided. It was those artistic differences that prompted Geordano to embark on a solo career. Being part of this band was the vehicle that he needed to reach artistic maturity. His passion for playing music and most importantly, writing music and lyrics grew while the contents of his lyrics matured. His desire to reach others through music and words is what drives him to create. To quote him: "It's what I want and what better way to erase borders and reach the whole world than through music". He says, quite simply, "I fell in love with music and that's all I want to do. I want to make it and be able to share my music and lyrics with the rest of the world with hopes of changing lives with a profound message that music is good for the soul".
